The Scannabar Ribbon


What is it?
A generic bar code ribbon has no identity when it is sent to you. Every ribbon is identical and is used to precisely measure the quantity of liquid in open bottle(s).


Why can we use the same ribbon for each bottle?
Each variety of liquor has been meticulously calibrated by our programmers assuring you accuracy. It is constructed to resist water, condensation and scuffing.


How long does it take to do inventory?
An average inventory of 45 bottles at your bar(s) will take 6 minutes per bar.


Do I have to apply the ribbon when I receive the bottle(s)?
No, they can be applied at any time. If you do not want to apply the ribbons, you can use a rigid, laminated ribbon that is placed on the side of the bottle and scanned for exact measurements of partial bottles.

The Scannabar Label


What is it?
A generic bar code label which has no identity when it is sent to you. Every label is unique and applied with a tape gun.


How do we give the label a life?:
When a bottle(s) of liquor is received, using the Symbol scanner, you simply scan the existing manufacturer's bar code on the bottle and then scan the Scannabar label. The Scannabar software automatically recognizes the size, shape, volume and contour of the variety. It also recognizes the last price paid for the variety. You can possibly link the Scannabar software to a third party software package to up date pricing. This process takes an average of 5 seconds per bottle.


What does the label do?
1. Confirms the bottle(s) of liquor have been received and generates a receiving report that can possibly be exported to a third party software.
2. Automatically updates your central inventory that can possibly be exported to a third party software.
3. Tracks the movement of your bottles from storage to multiple bars.
4. When you want to measure partial bottles at the bar, all you need to do is scan the Scannabar label and then the ribbon (either applied to the bottle or not) for precise usage reports.


Benefits of the label
1. Creates a unique identity for each bottle
2. Warns the user(s) if a bottle of liquor goes missing either at the bar or in the stockroom with the exact quantity remaining in the bottle.
3. Keeps an actual cost on a per bottle basis and not an average cost.
4. Assures the company the full yield of the bottle must be accounted for, either 750 ml or 1 liter since the Scannabar software allows a bottle(s) to enter the software as full and allows them to leave the software only when they are emptied.
